Edmond Tavernier

Edmond Tavernier, Attorney-at-law (Chairman)
Edmond Tavernier is the founding partner of Tavernier Tschanz, a law firm based in Geneva, Switzerland, a firm exclusively devoted to business law. A few years ago, Edmond also set up TMFO Sàrl, a company offering various services relating to the management and organization for its clients of wealth and family affairs. Having completely retired from his law firm (after having served in a position as Of counsel for a few years), Edmond is now devotes all of his time and energy to serve and attend to the needs of the clients of TMFO. Edmond has extensive experience in corporate and commercial transactions, corporate finance, M&A, financial matters and banking law. Edmond Tavernier serves on the board of several major international banks and companies.

Frederic Lajaunias

Frédéric Lajaunias, PhD, MBA
Frédéric has 9 year experience in early stage development. Since he co-founded LASCCO SA in 2007, Frédéric managed the development of discovery-stage pharmaceuticals and diagnostics in the field of infectious diseases, autoimmune diseases and oncology, leading to the creation of LASCCO's spin-offs Combioxin SA and Sepstone Diagnostics Sàrl. Prior to founding LASCCO SA, Frédéric served at Abbott Laboratories as manager for the Swiss virology division. Before that, he carried out a post-doctoral work at the Geneva University Hospital studying autoimmune disorders. Frédéric holds a PhD in Immunology from the University of Paris VII, and an MBA from the University of Geneva.

Samareh Lajaunias

Samareh Azeredo da Silveira Lajaunias, PhD
Samareh is an early-stage drug development specialist. Since she co-founded LASCCO SA in 2007, Samareh managed the development of various discovery-stage projects in the field of infectious diseases (leading to the creation of LASCCO's spin-offs Combioxin SA and Sepstone Diagnostics Sàrl), gene therapy, and neuroinflammatory disorders. Samareh holds a PhD in Neurosciences from Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) – laboratory of Prof. Patrick Aebischer - and obtained a Master's degree in Immunology at the University of Geneva. Her work led to the publication of several articles in peer-reviewed journals.
